A Closer Look Inside The Restored Church of God

The Restored Church of God, led by Pastor General David C. Pack, is the only true extension of the Worldwide Church of God (WCG) when it was doctrinally on track and doing God’s Work prior to Herbert W. Armstrong’s death. While not in-depth, the following list offers insight into how we function:

  1. Our World Headquarters is in Wadsworth, Ohio, USA. We have a large, trained and dedicated staff that handles ministerial, editorial, technical, financial, legal, mail processing, letter answering and all other duties necessary for a fast-growing worldwide organization. A beautiful new 3-story WORLD HEADQUARTERS BUILDING is leaving the planning stages. Groundbreaking will likely occur this year.
  2. We produce a yearly Behind the Work film, following the pattern Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong set in the 1980s. This video presents the Work of God today with the same style and impact, providing a detailed and fascinating inside view of how RCG proclaims the gospel in all nations, while spiritually feeding an ever-growing worldwide flock. The film provides perhaps the best “closer look inside RCG.”
  3. A 2,100-page Splinter Explanation Packet—including ten books and numerous sermons—has been prepared for all those with a background in the WCG and/or the doctrines taught by Mr. Armstrong. Prospective RCG members with this background are asked to read and examine this entire package. This is to remove all doubt about who, what and why is The Restored Church of God.
  4. Sermons and thorough Announcement Bulletins are sent to Hosts of local congregations (and scattered Members) for each Sabbath.
  5. A detailed Host Information Manual, answering questions about local administration, permits the Church to function “decently and in order” (I Cor. 14:33, 40). (Dozens of internal form letters serve the brethren’s needs.)
  6. A Brethren/Co-Worker Letter is sent monthly.
  7. We currently have 19 Feast of Tabernacles sites around the world. Brethren who cannot reach a site receive sermons for each day of the Feast. View our 2007 Feast of Tabernacles Pictorial.
  8. A growing number of ministers, elders and deacons assist the brethren. To address an ever-growing need, a significant number of FULL-TIME MINISTERS will be trained and hired across the United States and other areas of the world, greatly expanding our full-time ministry.
  9. An extensive Leadership Development Program is training leaders and pillars to serve an expanding flock. (RCG also has a Ministerial and Leadership Conference each winter, as well as an Advisory Council of Elders that assists the Pastor General.)
  10. A great many tools have been, and continue to be, prepared for youth of all ages. Some are designed as aids for parents. There are numerous other tools addressing marriage, family and childrearing.
  11. THE PILLAR—a four-color magazine similar to the old WCG Good News—is sent bi-monthly to members.
  12. The REAL TRUTH—a four-color, flagship magazine similar to the old WCG Plain Truth—is available online and distributed worldwide (10 issues per year, plus additional online articles, news briefs and analysis).
  13. AMBASSADOR YOUTH—a four-color, bi-monthly magazine—is for teens in God’s Church. This publication is similar to the old WCG’s YOUTH 81, 82, etc.
  14. To serve an ever-growing number of youth in the Church, RCG’s Ambassador Youth Camp is held each year in the summer.
  15. A 30-lesson Bible Introduction Course—similar to the Ambassador College Bible Correspondence Course—is also provided.
  16. The PASTOR GENERAL’S REPORT—similar to the old WCG’s Pastor General’s Report—is sent monthly (ten times per year) to the ministry and leadership of RCG. It informs and assists in building and developing leaders.
  17. A vast amount of literature—books, booklets, articles, magazines and more—has been written for those God is calling. Millions are distributed around the world through the use of the Internet, and sent to members as they are published.
  18. We are also currently producing material in Spanish, French, German and Dutch to feed the flock and preach the gospel of the kingdom of God, alongside God’s other doctrines, around the world.
