Information Collected
TheRCG.org actively collects and analyzes user data such as demographics, search engine referrals, subjects of interest, and traffic patterns.
Users who sign up for our email subscription list are required to supply their (1) Name, (2) Email Address, (3) Country and (4) ZIP/Postal Code. Optional information is Age, Gender and City. All such information allows us to build accurate demographics and improve the services we provide.
How We Collect Information
There are various ways in which we are permitted to obtain information about you through the following processes:
1. Email Subscription: Users may register for our email subscription system. This informs them of various changes to the website. The demographics described above are collected through this method.
2. Cookies: A cookie is a widely-used small data file that websites write to your hard drive when you visit them. We use this information to optimize our site in navigation and performance. The Restored Church of God utilizes industry-standard security procedures to protect all personally identifiable information within its control from loss, misuse or unauthorized alteration. Such security protocols include firewalls, encryption, password protection and physical on-site security.
DESPITE THESE SECURITY MEASURES, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT ALL OF YOUR PRIVATE COMMUNICATIONS OR PERSONAL INFORMATION WILL NEVER BE DISCLOSED OR UNLAWFULLY ACCESSED BY UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTIES.
Limitations
Although your privacy is very important to us, due to the existing legal and regulatory environment, we cannot fully ensure that your private communications and other personally identifiable information will not be disclosed to third parties. For example, we may be forced to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications.
Additionally, we can (or you may authorize us to) disclose any information about you to private entities, such as law enforcement or other government officials, as we, at our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to investigate or resolve possible problems or inquiries.
