A Gentleman Should…

  • Remember the principle “Ladies first.” If a lady does not move quickly to do something, do not be pushy. Instead, be patient.
  • Always be mindful of his manners. He does not talk with food in his mouth. He always says “please” and “thank you.”
  • Never strive to be the center of attention.
  • Know how to strike up a conversation with anyone. He should be genuinely interested in the opinions, experiences and thoughts of others.

A Lady Should…

  • Always strive to be at her best, realizing that every encounter makes a lasting impression.
  • Know how to prioritize family, friends, her career and other important considerations in her life. She knows when she is feeling stretched thin and how to sort out her priorities.
  • Always think before she speaks. She also thinks after she speaks, to build upon what she has said correctly, or correct what she may have said incorrectly.
  • Return anything she borrows in a timely manner and in the same (or better) condition in which she received it.
